GTECH G2 Casinos

GTECH G2 believe they are the world’s only provider of interactive gaming software and services which deliver a complete end-to-end solution. They offer a full range of services which have been optimised for many different areas of gambling and this includes back office systems and everything their casino clients could need. GTECH G2 has the secondary ‘G2’ title because it is a subsidiary interactive division of the well-known lottery provider GTECH. In April 2015 things changed a little as it acquired International Gaming Technology and their offering increased significantly, and they chose to drop the GTECH moniker altogether, trading under IGT.

GTECH G2 Today

GTECH and GTECH G2 evolved from another well-known gaming company. Boss Media were a Swedish design and development games which were formed in the early days of interactive casino gaming in 1996. Boss Media became GTECH G2 in 2008 when the brand was taken over by Lottomatica S.p.A who purchased the GTECH company at the same time, making it most straightforward for Boss to become G2.

Before the re-imagination of the company and their position within the new, larger firm, Boss Media designed and developed a wide range of software products for global markets. Unlike other providers they focused less on video slot design and more on making sure that they had a strong network of digital distribution channels ready for their lottery, bingo and poker software as well as their slots and online casino offerings They worked with companies including bwin.party and SportingBet to begin with.

This is no longer what the company offers as they are fully focused on their end-to-end solution. Leading poker sites utilise their software but it is also used for a range of different online casinos including Virgin, bet365 and many online bingo providers.

GTECH G2 Now

Since GTECH G2 acquired IGT they have continued to push forward with their end-to-end range and launching new gaming products, whilst adding more to those that exist and updating them to the best possible version. The IGT label is internationally recognisable and this has given them the chance to move forward more publicly and be seen in an even wider market area.

In choosing to operate solely as IGT the company has effectively left GTECH behind them and soon they may not be heard of at all. The talent of that company however is still at the heart of the company and providing the same high quality products as before. Their innovative range of games and platforms ensures that their partners are always satisfied and in turn their partners’ users enjoy seamless gameplay and a fantastic user experience.

Another benefit of being part of IGT is that the American market is now much easier to access and there are plans for legacy games from the GTECH portfolio to be launched on this new and exciting American market.
